Hi everyone,
I think we should actually introduce ourselves better. This blog is done by Goto san and me, Michelle. Our job includes PR, marketing, communicating with customers, food tasting and designing menu for Fukurinmon.
Goto san is a bit of a fussy gourmet because of her work experience in the food business. Regarding me, since I have been eating Fukurinmon (actually Fook Lam Moon) food for more than 20 years in both Hong Kong and Japan, we are excited to be able to start this blog so that we can introduce all the different interesting unexpected types of food from our restaurant.
Yesterday, we invited two girls whom are writers for a girlie lunch in Ginza. I think we should just introduce some of the food we ate so that if you do decide to come, you can also try them. So here they are:
Seafood tofu soup
char siu pie
Siu Loong Bau
Prawn and chives dumpling
Deep fried prawn wrapped in crispy pastry
HK style garlic chilli prawn
Stirred fried Tung chai with fermented tofu sauce
Lotus leaf rice
HK style baked egg tart
Mango pudding
I know its kind of a lot for 4 girls but there was no leftover!
We shall restrain ourselves and only talk about some of the food above.
Goto san’s favourite apparently was Siu Loong Bau. Our funny a little chubby dim sum chef from HK is so health conscious that he decided to put our kim wa ham stock into the dumpling. So the result is that when you bite into it, it burst out with the delicious soup!

My favorite was the HK style garlic chilli prawn. This is actually a dish served in the boats that were parked in the ports. And it used to be very popular because people can have the whole meal on a boat with someone singing a song. Anyway, its really delicious because the prawn is natural and swimming in our fish tank. it was so big and sweet contrasting with the savoury fried garlic.
